Joseph V. Robert's Obituary
Robert, Joseph Valmore, age 77 of Deltona , FL died on June 20, 2011. He was the son of Sylva and Cecelia Rougeau Robert, born in N. Adams, MA on July 13, 1933. He is predeceased by his sister, Lucille Duby. Joe is survived to his wife, Clara Lescarbeau in 1953 at Norte Dame du Sacre Coeur; sister, Catherine Potvin of Vermont and Pauline Perrier of Massachusetts ; and many nieces, nephews and dear close friends.
Joe was in the Army during the Korean Conflict in 1953-1954 and was honorably discharged in 1956. He worked for the State of New York in Drug Abuse for 24 years. He was Ordained as a Deacon on October 9, 1982 for the Diocese of Albany, NY by Bishop Howard Hubbard and assigned to Parish of Immaculate Conception, New Lebanon, NY 1982-1992. Then both Robert and Clara moved to Deltona in 1992 and began his ministry at St. Clare Catholic Church in Deltona in 1992. Joe was a member of the 3rd Order of the Franciscans and also a spiritual adviser of St. Max Kolbe Fraternity in Deltona , FL.
Family will be receiving friends on (Wed.) June 29th 6-7 PM at Saint Clare Catholic Church, 2961 Day Road, Deltona , Florida 32738. Where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on (Thurs)June 30th, 10AM Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery , Bushnell , FL. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Saint Clare Catholic Church.
