Joseph Frederick Neubacher's Obituary
Joseph Frederick Neubacher, Jr., 80, went to be with the Lord on September 13, 2011. He died peacefully in his sleep after a prolonged illness. Born December 4, 1930 at his home in Southwest Detroit, MI, he is the son of Joseph (Sr.) and Henrietta (Bradach) Neubacher. In his early years Joe enjoyed fishing and scouting where he reached the level of Eagle Scout. A Veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Neubacher went on to serve Christ as a Lutheran Missionary in the Western Highlands of Papua New Guinea for five years. While there, his wife Patricia (Heider) Neubacher and daughter, Angela predeceased him and are forever with their Lord Jesus Christ. Upon his return, he married Mary Beckmann and they raised their eight children together in Waterford, MI. He taught and served as an elementary school principal for over 25 years in Michigan. Joe and Mary retired and moved to Deltona, Florida, where he lived prior to his death. We the family rejoice with him that he is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Christian services will be held at The Lutheran Church of Providence, 1696 Providence Blvd, Deltona, FL. The visitation will be held from10 am to 11am. The funeral follows at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial to the Papua New Guinea Mission Society, P.O. Box 28356, Oakdale, MN 55128-0356.
