Jonathan Gregory Monette's Obituary
Jonathan Gregory Monette, known to his friends and family as Jon, passed away on Jan 26, 2025 in Daytona Beach, FL at the age of 51. He was born 5/2/73 in Socorro, New Mexico to Gregory and Sharon Monette. Growing up and living in Volusia County, FL, Jon loved, and was loved by, all who knew him.
Jon was a veteran of the United States Navy. After his service, he pursued a career in electrical distribution as a lineman and troubleman throughout central Florida. While keeping his childhood friendships, Jon also brought his fun, peaceful demeanor to his work, making his work buddies dear, lifelong friends. Long beach days and time with his girls were some of his most treasured times. Throughout his life, Jon enjoyed surfing and being on the water. His carefree and playful spirit will be missed by many.
Jon is survived by his mother, Sharon Monette, his daughters: Rachael, Sara and Anna, six siblings, and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held when the waters are perfect for surfing.
