John Raymond Torres' Obituary
John R. Torres, 43, of Deltona, FL passed away on Monday, September 26, 2011. He was born on July 20, 1968 in Bronx, NY to parents Hipolito and Candida (River) Torres. John was of the Christian Faith and was a loyal member of Inglesia Transformando Vidas A/D for the past 2 years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, baseball and going to the beach. His family best describes him as an overall athlete whose true passion was for Wrestling. John wrestled professionally for the last 20 years and was known by such names as “Lightning Jonny Torres”, “White Angel” and “Dr. Technical”. Mr. Torres was a family man who will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. He proceeded in death by both of his parents and is survived by his loving wife of 6 years, Damaris Torres; children, John R. Torres, Jr., Johnathon Torres, Luis Noel Marte and Jennifer Lee Marte; brothers, Jose Luis Torres, David Santiago, Hipolito Torres, John R. Flores, Felix Cabrera, Carman Torres and Jose Luis Santos; sisters, Nashaera Santiago, Asucion Torres, Maxmina Torres, Carmen Torres and Maria Torres and 1 grandchild. The family will receive friends from 2:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, September 29, 2011 in the Baldauff Family Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held 10:00 am, Friday, September 30, 2011 at Hollywood Cemetery, in Orange City, FL with Pastor Cesar Santiago, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in his honor to Inglesia Transformando Vidas A/D Church, 3063 Enterprise Road, Suite 15, DeBary, FL 32713.
