We were saddened to learn ofMr. John's death two weeks ago. My granddaughters, Alyssa and Lauren Thomas attended Forest Lake over the past ten years and a smiling Mr. John greeted them as they went to school each day. He was a steady fixture in their lives, always smiling. I loved to listen to his New York accent. I was born in the Bronx. We also enjoy his performance in "Miracle on Thirty-fourth Street" in Deland.
Keep up your hearts.
We knew "Mr. John" as our crossing guard for the past 10 years. Every morning and every afternoon he was there to greet us and get us safely across the street. Always with a smile and always wanting to know how things were going for my girls. Even though my girls have moved on to middle school and high school, we looked forward to at least waiving to Mr. John. He will be missed.
Sincere sympathy and prayers to the family. John will be greatly missed. I so enjoyed being on stage with him, and he was so happy to be acting. Much love to the family and to Amanda. You can be sure he is smiling down on you whenever you perform.
We are so sorry to miss the service and to be able to tell John's other volunteer friends about it. We kept checking the Deltona Memorial site and it was never posted. We will miss his great humor and enthusiasm for the theater.
Dear Family: May the God of all comfort be with you during your hour of bereavement. Losing a loved one in death is never easy. (John 11:33-36) However, as you prepare to celebrate the life of your loved one,John, the lives he touched and the legacy he leaves behind, may you find comfort from the Bible at Isaiah 25:8 where God promises to swallow up death forever, John 5:28,29 where he promises a resurrection to life for our loved ones who have died and Revelation 21:4,5 where our Loving God assures us that mourning, outcry, tears and yes, even death will soon be things of the past. (Titus 1:2) My deepest sympathy to you.
To John's family, We are so sorry for the loss of John, he was a very special man whom we admired and loved. We will miss him dearly and we will always have him in our thoughts and prayers. Our hearts go out to all of you especially Amanda, he loved her so much and was so proud of her. We will never forget him and we share in your enormous loss. He was truly a gentleman and a joy to be around and we are so grateful to have had the chance to know and work with him and call him our brother in the Son's of Italy.
