Joan Petit's Obituary
PETIT, JOAN- Joan Petit, 80, of DeBary, FL, passed away Monday, October 15, 2012. Mrs. Petit was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to the DeBary area in 1989. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Henry Petit. They raised three children together: two daughters Diane (Roy) Cruciata and Janis (Joe) Sokolowski; and a son Henry (Ellen) Petit; eleven grandchildren; Raymond, Matthew, Robert, Joseph, Stephen, Thomas, Henry III, Amanda, Brendan, William, Michael; and three great-grandchildren; Brooke, Meadow and Emma. She was beloved by her family. She never climbed a mountain and she cannot be found in the history books, but her sweet spirit and accepting nature touched all within the reach of her loving arms. By the grace of God and through the atonement of Jesus Christ, we will be with her again. A Mass will be held Friday, October 19, 2012, 10 AM at St. Ann's Catholic Church. The family will be receiving friends at Baldauff Family Funeral Home, 1233 Saxon Blvd., Orange City, FL from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, October 18, 2012. A prayer service will be at 6:45 PM at the Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Deltona Memorial Gardens.
