Jeffrey James McGuire's Obituary
Jeffrey James “Jeff” McGuire, 70, of Deltona, Florida, passed away on December 13, 2024, in Orange City, Florida.
He was born February 3, 1954, in New Haven, Connecticut to parents James “Jim” and Rita McGuire.
Jeff was a mechanic for Amtrak. He transferred from Connecticut to Auto Train, Sanford, Florida in 1988, where he met Betty, his 30-year Companion. He finished his career there, and retired in 2014.
He enjoyed cooking, and sharing it, being a jokester, attending the NHRA Gatornationals, and taking his dog, Ranger, for car rides. He loved seafood, especially Dixie Crossroads, Titusville, and would frequent there just to take a drive.
He is survived by Ranger, his 13-year-old “man’s best friend”; Stepchildren, Betty Kay Czajkowski (Rusty), William F. Back (Terri), Brian K. Back (Sara), Melissa M. Smith; 14 Grandchildren, 11 Great-Grandchildren; and beloved friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his Companion of 30 years, Betty Beckey; Stepson Jimmy Back; and Grandson Shane Czajkowski.
A private Burial at Sea will take place Saturday, April 19, 2025.
