Jan Christine Eggleston's Obituary
Jan Christine-Godin Eggleston, 58 died May 31, 2011 after a courageous battle with Cancer. Born in Corinth, NY, she was the daughter of Gail (Jim) LaFever of Venice, FL. She met and married her soul mate Michael Eggleston of 41 years together. She loved being a military wife and mother. She was ever generous and considerate of those less fortunate. Jan was always a happy spirit and fun to be around with a wonderful sense of humor. She was a member of TOPS and enjoyed her jobs over the years as a Security Guard and librarian. She adored her pets, Molly & Sammy.
In addition to her husband Michael, she was the loving mother to her son, Robert M. (Christie) Eggleston of Albany, NY; daughters, Tracy Lynn (Josh) Sigmon of Port Keens, TX and Lysa Marie (Adam) Perkins of Dover, Delaware. She greatly loved & enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren, Caitlyn, Anthony, Cole, Ariana & Matthew. One of her greatest enjoyment was time spent with her special grandchildren. She especially enjoyed decorating during each holiday season and made it special for all her loved ones.
Her other survivors are her two sisters, Judy Schenk of Port Charlotte and Jill (Mike) Gerry of Albany, NY; two brothers, Tony & Jerry Godin of Corinth, NY; In-laws, Joyce & Robert Eggleston of Zepherhills, FL and Sharon & Ronald Robillard of Queensbury, NY and Jody Eggleston of Hudson Falls, NY; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her children feel they could not have had a more fun loving and caring mother and her husband Michael loved her dearly. They were truly soulmates and were inseperable for the past 41 years. Jan will be remembered always and sorely missed by her family and many friends. Family will receive friends from 12-1 PM Sat (June 4th) at the Baldauff Family Funeral Home & Crematory, where services will be held at 1PM . In lieu of flowers contributions maybe made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences www.baldaufffuneralhome.com
