Susan, Kathy, Shelia and Paula... Virginia and I send you our deepest sympathy. I have many memories over the years of being in a state of complete joy in his presence. He is among the best of men that I have ever met, and he taught me from boyhood all the way through adulthood, countless fine quality character traits like honesty, integrity and responsibility (by way of his own example) that made my life blessed. He gave me the ability to not only put others at ease, but to also to put myself at ease when interacting with people.
I know that he was my uncle, but in many ways he was a father figure.
For many years while I was growing up, Mom and Dad took us to Florida to celebrate Christmas with Aunt Elaine and Uncle Jim. I remember the excitement I had seeing them. He was so patient and calm, and had a sense of humor that kept us laughing and smiling the whole time. He was a great cook and helped Elaine in the kitchen, too ! When they would come and visit us in Virginia my Mom was always happy telling me that "Uncle Jim would be cooking the scrambled eggs because he was "the best " !
Yes, we will miss Jim in this world, but I am comforted by the words in the Bible, "Absent from the body, present with the Lord." I am also comforted (and happy !) that he is spiritually with Elaine, Mary and Armand. Rest in peace, Uncle Jim, and thank you.
Paula, Susan, Sheila & Kathleen, My deepest sympathies.
Your cousin Chris Kemp

Jim was one of the first people to welcome us to the community at the meetings. He was always a worker and volunteer and a great neighbor.
