Ivor Trim's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ivor E. Trim, who departed this life peacefully on July 2, 2025, at the age of 89.
Born on January 7, 1936, at Westminster Hospital in Battersea, London, England, Ivor lived through remarkable times with quiet strength and resilience. As a young child, at the ages of 3, 5, and 7 during the Second World War, he was evacuated from London to Yorkshire. These were experiences that shaped his sense of duty and calm resolve.
At just 15, he began his service as a cadet in the Queen’s Royal Navy in Fife, Scotland—a commitment that marked the start of a life dedicated to service. Following his time in the Navy, he continued to serve his community as a police officer in Fife.
In June 1960, Ivor emigrated to New York City, where he built a new life and a successful career as an IT programmer, working in the field for over two decades. He was known for his intelligence, precision, and quiet humility—traits that earned him the admiration and respect of colleagues, friends, and family alike.
He was married to Diane Trim for almost 50 years, and together they built a loving and enduring partnership. A man of few words and great wisdom, Ivor lived a life marked by loyalty, integrity, and a great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Trim, as well as extended family and friends that will miss him dearly.
Mr. Ivor's cremation will be personally handled by Licensed Crematory operator, Mr. Ben Nieves, on the premises of Baldauff Family Funeral Home.
