Hughburne W. Goring's Obituary
Hughburne Goring passed into his eternal rest on May 22, 2026 in Deltona, Florida at the age of 69. Hughburne was born in Georgetown, Guyana on September 24, 1957.
Hughburne was the beloved son of Shirley Rhodes and will be remembered for his warm spirit, sharp mind, and joyful presence. He served his community with dedication as a correctional officer, carrying out his duties with professionalism, integrity, and compassion. A man of many talents, he was also a capable handyman who could fix almost anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors.
Always a social and outgoing person, Hughburne never met a stranger. He loved making people laugh with his quick wit and great sense of humor. Very smart and knowledgeable, he enjoyed educating others and sharing what he had learned throughout his life.
Music was one of Hughburne's greatest passions. He especially loved Calypso music and the timeless sounds of artists such as Al Green. Whether listening to his favorite songs or dancing to the rhythm, music brought him great happiness and was a cherished part of who he was.
Hughburne will be remembered for his laughter, kindness, intelligence, and the joy he brought to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Rhodes; sister, Simone Rhodes; son, Justin Goring; as well as extended family and friends that will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his stepfather, grandfather and grandmother.
