Heriberto Santa Ortiz 83 of Deltona passed away on May 25, 2024. He was born January 1, 1941
in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico to parents Victoria Ortiz and Benito Santana.
Heriberto is survived by his children Heriberto Santana Sanchez, Janet Santana Charriez,
daughter-in-law Brenda Santana, and son-in-law Luis “Gaby” Charriez; sister Nani Almodovar;
grandchildren Melissa Santana, Jason Martine (Cyndy), Christopher J. Torres (Corinna),
Stephanie A. Agelis (Ilias), and Giovanni A. Corchado (Alexandra), and 6 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Maria (Neca) Sanchez; his parents Victoria Ortiz
and Benito Santana; 6 brothers, and 4 sisters.
He was a Shop Manager for Plaster in Clifton, New Jersey and for Kirby Rentals in Orlando,
Florida. Heriberto served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion.
He had a Maters Degree in Theology and was a retired Deacon from several Catholic Dioceses.
Heriberto hobbies consisted of an Artisan specializing in Puerto Rican guitars and a
Horticulturalist.
A visitation will be held 11:30 am - 1:30 pm, Wednesday June 12, 2024 at Baldauff Family Funeral Home, 1233 Saxon Boulevard, Orange City, Florida and 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at St. Clare Catholic Church, 2961 Day Road, Deltona, Florida followed by a Funeral Mass at 3:00 pm. Burial will be held 12:30 pm Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US-1, Mims, Florida.
