Henry Jacob Densing Sr.'s Obituary
Densing, Henry Jacob, SR. – Henry Jacob Densing, Sr., 89 years old, of Deltona, Florida went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, March 28, 2015. Henry was born on May 7, 1925 to the late Edward Arthur Densing and Edith Marie (Overton) Densing, in Patchogue, NY. Henry met and married June Bernice (Crevoiserat) Densing and they raised their three children on Long Island, New York. They worked hard together to make sure their children knew the importance of family, and knowing Jesus. Henry was involved with the Boy Scouts of America, and the North Patchogue Fire Department. He worked for the Long Island (New York) Power Company formally known as LILCO, for 32 Years before retiring. In 1984, Henry and June moved to Deltona, Florida. They reunited with family in Florida, and visited frequently with family in New York and Pennsylvania. They also took a few cruises until June’s health wouldn’t allow her to travel anymore. They then stayed home in Florida, by each other’s side until at almost 62 years of marriage, the Lord took June home to be with Him (May 2012). Henry faithfully attended Faith Baptist Church in Deltona, Florida and through his strong faith in God he always said that God knows best, no matter what circumstances came his way. Henry was a Navy veteran of 5 years, and during that tour of duty he was able to visit many places such as: Dutch New Guinea, the Persian Gulf, Treasure Island, England, Egypt, Cuba, and through the Suez Canal. While in Florida Henry was the Post Commander of VFW Post 10096, and was a member of the Polish Legion, Post 204.
Henry is survived by his children: Son, Henry J. Densing Jr. (Donna), of Pittstown, NY; daughter, Susan L. Buttafuoco (Thomas), of Deltona, FL; daughter, Peggy A. Borger (Rodney), of Lehighton, PA; Grandchildren Matthew Densing, Michael Densing, Sarah Densing, Stacey Igyarto, Joseph Buttafuoco, ThomasButtafuoco, Jr., Russell Buttafuoco (Kelly), Brittany Sinclair, Amanda Welch, Daniel Borger, Scott Borger, and Brian Borger; Great-Grandchildren: Tyler Igyarto, Eric Igyarto, Collin Igyarto, Tabitha Buttafuoco, Isaac Buttafuoco, Makayla Buttafuoco, Felicity Buttafuoco, Hunter Sinclair, and Ayden Welch; His Sisters: Doris (Densing) Martin (James, predeceased), Flora (Densing) VanEssendelft (Marvin, predeceased); His Brothers: Daniel Densing and Frank Densing (Margaret). Also by many, many, nieces, nephews, and cousins, of whom he cared greatly.
Henry is predeceased by his wife, June; Daughters June Densing and Peggy Lynn Densing; Sisters: Ellen (Densing) Doering (Henry, predeceased), and Kathryn (Densing) Flowers (Ernest, predeceased) and Brothers: Edward Densing (Virginia), George Densing (Marion), and John Densing (Jeanne).
Memorial Service to be held on Thursday April the 9th, 2015 at 11:00 AM, at Faith Baptist Church at 1200 Providence Blvd., Deltona, FL 32725, (386-574-5932), with Pastor Byron Herchenroder officiating. A light luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that any donations be made in his honor to Faith Baptist Church, 1200 Providence Blvd., Deltona, Florida 32725 to aid those working as missionaries through his church.
