Harvey Leroy Fladeland, 91, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, was welcome into heaven on July 29, 2026 with his loving children, Mike Fladeland and Karen Condon, by his side.
Harvey was born on May 20, 1935, to the late Obert and Grace Fladeland. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Mike Fladeland and Karen Condon; his cherished grandchildren, Riley and Brady; and his longtime partner, Melinda Perez.
Harvey proudly served his country in the United States Army for two years and received an honorable discharge. After his military service, he built a life centered on hard work, family, and serving others.
A dedicated small business owner, Harvey continued doing what he loved until the remarkable age of 91. He found great joy in helping people and believed in gibing back to his community wherever he could. His generosity, kindness, and strong work ethic touched the lives of many.
An avid sports fan, Harvey rarely missed cheering on his favorite teams, the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. Whether watching a game with family or celebrating a win, his enthusiasm for sports brought people together and created many treasured memories.
Harvey will be remembered for his caring heart, unwavering dedication to his family and friends, and the countless lives he impacted through his kindness. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, integrity, and love that will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 7, from 2pm - 5pm at Baldauff Family Funeral Home and Crematory at 1233 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, FL 32763. Family and friends are warmly invited to join us as we celebrate Harvey's life, to share stories, and honor the legacy of a man who made the world a better place through his kindness, generosity, and love.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Harvey's memory to the American Heart Association.
