I work in the office at Highbanks Campresort. Greg was one of my favorites. He always had a smile on his face and was truly a great person. He’d come into the office and ask “have you found me a spot yet?” and we’d always tell him to check back with us. We almost always came up with a spot for him eventually. I always looked forward to seeing him. He will be truly missed!, Cheryl Williams
I haven't seen Greg in many years. Like most we married our girl friends then family and work took over our lives. Greg ended up in Florida and I in Michigan. But I'll always remember the crazy adventure we had back in 1970. As an unlikely pair it seems we decided to venture to California. Well we quit our jobs sold out Corvette's loaded up Greg's 1939 Chevy latched on my trailer with my 1950 HD Sportster in it along with a scant bit of other items and off we went. Oh yeah, also several quarts of oil as that car burned/leaked a bit of that stuff. We cruised westward day by day, it was all good well except the night we slept in the car in the mountains and woke up to about 4 or 5 inches of snow. That down hill ride was a nail bitter. My poor Sportster covered with snow. Well God willing and without any major car problems we made it to San Rafael, California. We spent a couple months with Greg's cousin then got an apartment. We did just about anything to earn $. After about a year or so of life together I got married and we got an apartment of our own and Greg sometime after left for Bakersfield and fame and fortune. We like many lost touch for many years but I'll always remember that time, that trip, that fun, that California hippie era. Now it's time to say rest in peace my friend for you have taken that final trip. God bless you and your family during this time.
Oh yeah one more tidbit, I was also the guy in the passenger seat of his Corvette when we slid sideways on a snowy road and went head long into a tree. Even though I had a seat belt on Greg's arm came out to try and protect me from hitting the dash. That's the kinda guy he was. Again God bless.
I met Greg at my brother Bill’s Halloween party. He was handsome, kind, sweet, and had an infectious smile. He and I judged the pumpkin carvings and danced quite a bit. We had so much fun! He will be sorely missed by so many! Rest In Peace Greg and know you will never be forgotten!💕
