Gloria E Miranda's Obituary
Gloria Miranda was called home today by our savior Jesus Christ, where she will receive God’s promise of salvation and eternal life. She is preceded in death by her Beloved Husband Wesley; parents Herman and Ella Sonneborn; sisters Florence Robicheau, Ethel Hauser, Leola Murray, LuElla Sanzoverino; brothers Walter Clark, and Charles Clark. Gloria is survived by her children Wesley Miranda, Wayne Miranda, Gary (Lynn) Miranda, Cheryl Miranda, and Daryl Miranda; brothers Herman (Joan) Sonneborn, and Howard (Virginia); 14 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
Gloria lived for her family, a tirelessly devoted homemaker, loving wife and mother, cherished grandmother and great grandmother, and faithful friend to many whose lives were touched by her radiant smile. A loving and compassionate school bus matron for developmentally disabled adults. Loved by many fellow congregants in Deltona Lakes Baptist Church (Deltona, Florida) and Grace Lutheran Church in Mastic Beach, New York (where she was affectionately known as “the smiling lady in pink”). She regarded those congregants as her extended family. What she may not have possessed in educational pedigree, she made up for with an ability to teach her children how to love, lessons that they are surely grateful to have received. She blessed and touched the lives of her friends and neighbors with her warm smiling face. Job well done, faithful servant-she will be missed, but will be reunited with many friends and family members lost over the years.
Gloria enjoyed playing the piano by ear, plastic canvas crafting, needlepoint, crocheting, painting and scrapbooking.
