Glenn Clair Swickard's Obituary
Glenn Clair Swickard, age 82, Orange City, passed away August 27, 2009. Glenn was born January 22, 1927 in Mercer, Pennsylvania, son of Robert and Jennie Andrews Swickard. He married Virginia Frye in 1950. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He retired as an over the road truck driver. Glenn and Virginia were members of First Presbyterian Church of DeBary which recently suffered the loss of their church building. Glenn is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Virginia; daughter, Susan Limber and husband, Jeff, Port St. Lucie; sons: Kerry and wife, Sherri, Clay, Alabama and Dean and wife, Judy, Spring Hill, FL. He also leaves three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary King, Mercer, PA. Memorial services will be held today (Sunday, August 30) at 3 p.m. at Immanuel Presbyterian Church DeLand. Interment will be at a later date at Florida National Cemetery. Donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church building fund or Hospice of Volusia/Flagler. Arrangements are under the direction of Baldauff Family Funeral Home and Crematory Orange City.
