Frank L Denoff M.D.'s Obituary
Frank L. Denoff, M.D., 60, died Monday, September 7, 2015 at Deland, FL. He is the son of the late Don and Florence Denoff of South Florida. He was a graduate of the University of Florida and The University of Miami Medical School. Dr. Denoff was a Deland resident and beloved Orthopedic surgeon for more than 16 years. He was professionally known by his dedication to providing outstanding patient care and admired and well respected by his colleagues in the surrounding medical community. After opening an independent practice in Orange City in 2012, Dr. Denoff's new practice quickly grew to over 9,000 patients . He proudly announced the addition of a new partner just a few months ago, with two more physicians now having also joined the practice.
Dr. Denoff led a remarkable personal life cemented strongly by his faith, family and friends. His family remarks of how they were never able to go out into the local community, without a patient or colleague hugging Dr. Denoff and expressing how "amazing" he was, or remarking, "I can walk because of this man". He and his family enjoyed traveling to countless wonderful locations, experiencing amazing adventures, loving and laughing always. Dr. Denoff was an avid slalom water skier, loved golf, the beach, traveling and fishing.
After finding out he had cancer, almost ten years ago, Dr. Denoff thanked God for allowing himself to be the one to have received the disease. His mission became to share his experience openly with the community to show that illness can happen to anyone. He shared a special empathy with patients because of his ability to relate to their personal pain. He did all of this with a smile on his face and an incredibly positive attitude. Knowing his patients would be at the office to see him, gave him extra fortitude and strength for each new day. This is because his commitment to each of them was so incredibly strong.
He is survived by his loving wife Kimberly, two son's Frank Jr. and Bailey, daughter Hannah and granddaughter Lily. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 12th at 10 AM, at First Baptist Church of Deland located at 725 N. Woodland Blvd. Deland
Dr. Denoff requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to MESTRONG. All donations remain here within our local community and help local cancer patients.
