Francis "Frank" Richard Voltoline's Obituary
Francis (Frank) Richard Voltoline 89, DeBary Florida died on Saturday April 29th at Advent Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, Florida.
He was born July 22, 1933 in Adams Massachusetts , the son of Joseph and Constance (Phelps) Voltoline of Pittsfield Mass. He is survived by sister Mary Eastland (Jim) and Brother John both of Texas and pre deceased by his brother William of Pittsfield MA.
Frank graduated from Saint Joseph High School Class of 1951. He attended the University of Massachusetts for a short time before joining the United States Navy. He was stationed at the Naval Air Station in Sanford, FL. During his tour with the Navy he was a flight mechanic for a photographic squadron. After leaving the Navy he worked for the railroad and then for over 40 years worked for and retired from the Sanford Herald as circulation manager and production manager. In his early years he was active with the JC,s and later was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 53 where he held various offices.
He met his wife Linda (Lenard) in Sanford where they married and had four children, Francis (Rick) Voltoline, wife Lisa; Laura Brennan, husband Kevin; James Voltoline, wife Becky; Michael D. Voltoline (deceased), wife Cathryn. In 1980 he was married to his wife Barbara Solitro and inherited four step children: Diana Sipe. Michael Solitro, Robin Wilburn and Lori Serino. Together Frank and Barbara were blessed with over 25 grandchildren, and now over 26 great grandchildren.
Those of you who knew Frank have seen some of the projects that he has done. He had an amazing , creative mind for creating anything you could dream of. Many sets created for American Legion and other club dances and special occasions. Grandchildren always came to Grandpa for help with school projects. Family all have bunnies, turkeys, all kinds of holiday decorations made by Grandpa with love.
