Erlinda Louden's Obituary
Erlinda Louden, 85, passed away peacefully at her home in DeBary, Florida, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
Linda was born on May 29, 1941, in Cebu, Philippines, to Paquita (Conui) and Lauro De Leon. She attended Sto. Tomas University in Manila. She has her degree in Medical Technology and her professional career spanned Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
Linda worked as a medical technologist, a path that brought her to Owosso, Michigan, where she met her beloved husband, Richard “Rick” Louden Jr. They shared 56 years of marriage filled with love, family, friendship, and faith.
When the couple moved to Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Linda served as office manager and laboratory supervisor in Rick’s office. After returning to Michigan, she became a travel agent, a role she deeply enjoyed as she helped others plan meaningful trips and experiences.
Linda lived with joy and adventure. She enjoyed tennis, golf, skiing, bowling, dancing, bridge, music, travel, and time with family and friends. Her warmth, laughter, and generous spirit touched many lives.
She is survived by her husband, Rick; her daughter, Laura (Sergio) Gudino; her son, Richard (Isabel) Louden III; her grandchildren, Carlissa, DeMarco, and Erick; her step-grandchildren, Kim, Charleena, and Marlon, through her daughter-in-law Isabel’s family; her sister, Ester Villordon; her cousin, Reymundo DeLeon Espiritu; and many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paquita and Lauro; her siblings, Wilfredo De Leon, Emilia De Leon, and Elisa Rodriguez; her sister-in-law, Brenda De Leon; and her cousins, Sonny (Pat) and Ben-Nido De Leon Reyes; her nephews, Richard and Danilo De Leon.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in faith, knowing she now rests peacefully in the presence of God, free from pain and embraced in eternal life. We give thanks for the 85 years God blessed us with Linda and the 56 years of love she shared with Rick. While we grieve, we hold to the promise of Christ that death is not the end and that we will see her again.
Linda’s love lives on in her family and all who knew her. Every memory, every laugh, and every moment shared remains a lasting gift.
May she rest peacefully in the loving arms of Jesus. She is forever loved, forever remembered, and forever in our hearts.
