Enid L. Charles' Obituary
Enid Theresa Leiba-Charles
Enid Theresa Marchan was born on November 8, 1928 in Trinidad. Where she did her schooling and furthered her education at a finishing school. Enid learned to sew. She made all of her children’s clothes and then their wedding gowns.
Enid loved her children. She loved to spend time with her family at family functions such as parties, barbeques, cruises, and the Casino Boat. She also enjoyed cooking for these functions and spent many hours in the kitchen preparing meals that sometimes, took all day. Someone (Angie) who loved her dearly recently said “I think Moms or Ms. Leiba( as she would fondly call her) took all day to cook so the family would have quality time together while hungering for peilau, curry chicken, fish, and soups and all the goodies she would be cooking”. Enid also loved to garden. She would be seen planting in her garden, gave advice on her experiences she had through her time spent in the garden.
She was known as: Mommy, Gramma, Grandma, Miss Enid by her children and great grand.
Her good friend Mr. Lowe always called her Nice lady.
Not only was she a sister, mother, friend, grandmother, and a great grandmother she was also a great great grandmother and loved her family so. Enid enjoyed life and lived every day to the fullest. Today, we celebrate her life and legacy with our family and friends. We were truly blessed and with our tears, there’ll will always be smiles of remembrance. We love you so very much. You will be missed and will always be in our hearts.
