Emmet Nelson Carr's Obituary
Emmet Nelson Carr, 77, of Deltona Florida, formerly Kalamazoo, Michigan
went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2018 with his wife and daughters
at his side.
Emmet was born to William and Margaret Carr, September 18, 1940, in
Battle Creek, Michigan. He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High
School in 1958 and went on to receive his Masters Degree in Health
Science.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Jolee Carr, his 3 Children,
Cindy Vanbeck and husband Rick of Kalamazoo, Laura Eshuis and husband Steve of Kalamazoo, Ryan Hammer and wife Jaclyn of Deltona, 8 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, and also leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Robert Carr and wife Carol of Kalamazoo, MI and 2 nieces, Deanna Sheppard and Amy Kinkade. He is remembered by his family as being selfless, caring and always someone you could count on.
He was preceded in death by William Carr, Father, and Margaret Carr,
Mother. Emmet was a Registered Respiratory Therapist and Department Head at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI for 18 years and relocated to Florida
where he went into Pediatric Respiratory Health Care until he retired in
2010. He volunteered as the Treasurer for Sterling Park Home Owners
Association and Vice President of the Daytona Beach Street Rods.
His passions were helping children, boating, fishing, street rods and last but not least his 2 puppies Mork & Mindy.
