Ellen P. Hillyer, 72 of Debary passed away on November 11, 2021. She was born on August 29, 1949 in West Palm Beach, Fl to Ann and Kenneth Pierce. Ellen is survived by her husband, William F. Hillyer; stepchildren, Albert and Ashl Read Obituary
I will always remember Ellen and Bill coming into Seaside Sewing and Quilt and looking at the fabric and Bill always helping Ellen pick out the funky and bright fabric. She would just shake her head and just go with whatever he picked out. The quilts always turned out fabulous. I will always remember Ellen as a fighter to the very end. You are out of pain now, just keep sewing up there in your new happy place. Love you Helen
I am so sorry to hear of Ellen’s passing. My thoughts and prayers to her family during this difficult time. I worked with Ellen in DELAND and she was truly an inspiration and model of hard work, drive and determination. She had a true passion for the people on her teams and the patients in her care. May her family find peace in the memories of her life.
We will miss Ellen and her smile whenever she came into Seaside Sewing & Quilts. She had such a positive attitude and an inspiration to all of us in her continued fight.
