Edward J Porcelli's Obituary
Edward Joseph Porcelli passed away December 17, 2019 at the age of 79 surrounded by family and friends.
Born in Manhattan, New York, March 26, 1940, Ed lived an accomplished and adventurous life. Upon graduating Marlboro High School in New York he joined the Navy and proudly served and saw the world during his four years of service. A life long entrepreneur, who owned many businesses in the food service industry, including restaurants in New York, South Carolina, and Florida. Ultimately, he found his calling on the “road” in the mobile food concession business traveling throughout the United States, Canada and the Bahamas. Ed loved the sea and constantly pursued his life enduring dream of sailing the world, loved his work and the people he encountered, but above all, Ed loved spending time with his family and friends. All who knew him were keenly aware of his undeniable spirit, ingenuity, and integrity.
Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Edward Porcelli, and his brother Robert. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Phyllis; his three children Edward Joseph Porcelli (Sandi), Barbara Ann-Frances Bryniarski (Rick), and Anthony Edward Porcelli (Julie); his three beloved grandchildren Emily, Nicholas, and Alexander; and his two siblings Frank Porcelli (Nancy) and Vincent Porcelli (Donna).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the Amvets Post 2, 1209 South Ridgewood Avenue, Edgewater, Florida, 32132. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you consider making a donation to Hospice in Ed’s name at www.curohealthservices.com.
