Edith Gaye Lay's Obituary
Edith Gaye Lay 91, of Orange City passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016. Edith was born on April 30, 1925 in Jasper, Alabama to parents, Walter Bankston and Maude Pulliam Bankston. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Travis Leon Lay and Son, Fred Leon Lay. Edith is survived by her Children, Peggy (Dave) Hilderman and Jack (Terry) Lay; Grandchildren, Lisa (Mike) Eddy, James Thomas (Shannon) Long, Christina Long, Jason Lay, Ashley (Jeff) Barrett and Angie Dampier; Great grandchildren, Samantha Eddy, Erica Eddy, Bubba Eddy, Emily Long, James T. Long III, Nicholas Long, Zachary Lay, Noah Lay, Aurora Lay, Aidan Long, Scarlett Barrett and Alexandria Long. Edith enjoyed watching Nascar and football, especially the Gators & Dolphins. She was also a long time member of the Moose Lodge. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am, Monday, August 8th, 2016, at Baldauff Family Funeral Home, 1233 Saxon Blvd. Orange City, Fl. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Vitas Hospice.
