Dorothy 'Phyllis' T Howard's Obituary
Phyllis was the middle of three children, she had both an older brother, Edward and a younger brother, Jack. She excelled in school where she was a member of the National Honor Society. After graduation she went to work for the British Ministry of War Transport during WWII.
The family moved to Miami where after the death of her first husband, she went to work for a family owned steamship and stevedore company. Later she became Secretary Treasurer of another of the local steamship stevedore companies and upon her retirement she was honored by the Mayor of Dade County for her service to the community.
Phyllis loved to read and enjoyed knitting and quilting. She died peacefully in her sleep; her ashes will be scattered offshore by the family.
