When I think of mom, I think of her sitting in her blue swivel chair, doing her cross stitch and watching, "Wheel of Fortune," and "Jeopardy!," with dad. Mom would cross stitch those Christmas ornaments for months, each one with special meaning or a monogram, but never letting us see them. Something she thought each person would like. Every year we could expect some cross stitched ornaments, from mom, in our stockings. In fact, every year that I have a tree, Mom's ornaments still go up, every year. It's those little things, that mean a lot.
She really had a heart for her family. Sometimes she would show you how big her heart was, and other times I could see her love, in the sweet quietness of her smile.
Either way, Mom was a woman who really made a difference in my life. I love her, and I'm going to miss her. I just take solace in the fact that she is in heaven, where everything is 100% wonderful, and she deserves that. Love you Mom!
