Diane Marie Phillips Kropp's Obituary
Diane, 79, was called home to heaven to join her loving mother, father and brother on Monday, August 8, 2011. A memorial mass with be held on Friday, August 13, 2011 at St Ann’s Church in DeBary at 2:30 pm.
Diane was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and married her loving husband Dr. Gerald (Jerry) Kropp. Both were graduates of Marquette University. They moved to Bradenton, Florida where they raised their nine children. Diane was known for her avid volunteerism encouraging family and friends to be points of light. She supported youth organizations, schools and her most favored institution the public library. Her kitchen was legendary, open to family and friends. Diane and Jerry enjoyed years of traveling around the country in their RV and fishing on the Kissimmee River. They retired to Orange City. Her many activities included skiing, fishing, traveling, playing tennis, bridge and cribbage. Her most pleasurable times were those spent with her family playing board games and working puzzles. She would say that her greatest accomplishment was her family. They would say that her greatest gift to them was her unconditional love that she bestowed on them all.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jerry, her children, Tom Kropp, Mary Jean Masters, Cyndee Foscue, Linda Lopez, David Kropp, Tim Kropp, Rick Kropp, Steve Kropp, Becky Delgado, 19 grand children and 1 great grandchild.In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Alzheimer Association (www.alz.org) in Diane’s name.
