Dena McMaster's Obituary
Dena J. McMaster 70 of Sanford, Fl passed away Saturday December 6th at Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford. She was born on October 14, 1944 in Flint, Michigan to DeLoss and Lorraine (Thompson) Clare. She married James E. McMaster on August 4th, 1962 in Flint, Michigan and had five children. She is survived by her loving husband Reverend James E. McMaster of Sanford, three children, Kim Schaeffer of Dayton, TN, Kathy Carenza of Chattanooga, TN, and Krystal Klassen of Manitoba, Canada; her sister Elizabeth Ann O’Dell of Flint, MI; Thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her two sons, Kevin James, and Kristopher John McMaster. Dena was a self published author of several books, and editor for the New Tribes Mission magazine. She was a member of the Genesee Independent Bible Church in Flint, MI for 54 years before becoming a member of Deltona Lakes Baptist church in Deltona, FL. For 17 years. Dena also served in Senegal, West Africa with New Tribes Mission from 1985 to 1997 as a missionary with the free medical clinic there.
Memorial Services will be held at the Deltona Lakes Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 10th at 2 PM with Dr. Fred Lowery officiating.
In Lieu of Flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name at the Deltona Lakes Baptist Church in Deltona, Fl.
