Carol Ann Rader's Obituary
Carol Ann Rader of Deland, Florida passed away on April 13, 2025, at the age of 83. She will be remembered with love by her surviving daughter Susan and husband Howard, grandchildren, Howard and Hannah, brother Robert and family. Born and raised in New Jersey, Carol has a successful career as a paralegal. An avid horsewoman, she rode and showed horses for many years. She loved to travel, venturing to Rome, Poland and the Holy Land, along with river rafting, skydiving, schooner sailing and other adventures across the United States. Upon retirement, Carol used her paralegal skills advocating for children in the Florida Guardian ad Litem program. Carol also trained service dogs to assist the disabled and others in need. A devout Catholic, Carol was active in her church’s ministries, instructing adults converting to the Catholic faith.
A visitation will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 1310 Maximilian Street, Deltona, Florida, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Carol requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Redinger Animal Clinic in Daytona Beach.
