Carlton 'Woody' A. Woodcock's Obituary
WOODCOCK, CARLTON A. "Woody" - Devoted husband and loving father Carlton, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 28, 2010. Born in Plainfield, Vt, March 27, 1922, he served with honor in the 43rd Infantry Division in the South Pacific during WWII, receiving the Bronze Star. After the war, He married Annadelle Hopkins and together they lived in the Washington, DC area for many years. Carlton was an engineer, working on many kinds of electronic projects over his long career. Carlton and Annadelle retired to Deltona, Fl. in 1987, where they participated in the Miniature Clubs, Painting classes, and the Orchid Club.
Carlton is pre-deceased by his parents, Karl and Octavia (Smith) Woodcock, two sisters, three brothers, son Neil and daughter Mary. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Annadelle Hopkins, daughter Virginia (Mike) Murphy and son Karl Woodcock, grandsons Joseph Murphy and Peter Murphy, nieces Elizabeth Denton, Irene Monteith, Ruth Tourangeau, Patty Corbett and nephews Tom Woodcock, John Armstrong and David Armstrong.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 3 p.m. at Baulduff Family Funeral Home, 1233 Saxon Blvd., Orange City. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Muscular Dystrophy
