Bruce married our sister Charleen in the early 70’s. He adopted our sisters son Michael when he was about 4 years old. He and my sister Charleen had a son together-Charley Ruiter, and later adopted a son-Andrew Phillip Ruiter. Bruce was a kind, funny, loving and hard working family man. My brother Roland and I will miss him. He has been a part of our family for most of our lives.
I have 70 years of memories about my beloved brother. Even tho he was 7 years younger than me we shared a lot of good times. I remember him as a child. Always happy with a smile on his face. He loved to climb trees. I think he was part monkey.. We also sold bait to save money so we could get a boat and did so as a joint family cause. We got the boat and were able to waterski. He loved his family and many friends. Would do anything for you . I remember him as a teenager always wanting to borrow my car. Usually getting me to let him. My mom said I spoiled him worse than anyone else in the family. He was smart, funny and could fix anything mechanical . I will miss him so very much. When I visited him earlier this year he still made me laugh. I cannot wish him back because of the awful disease he had. Just rest in peace and know you will never be forgotten. I love you.
