Brenda Kay Routh's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that our family announces the passing of our beloved Brenda K. Routh. Brenda went to be with the lord on June 16, 2026 at the age of 75 while residing in Debary, Florida. Born on October 14, 1950 in Jacksonville, Florida, Brenda leaves behind a legacy of fierce love, unwavering faith, and dedicated service to others.
Brenda spent her life caring for those around her. As a dedicated nurse, she brought comfort, healing, and compassion to countless patients throughout her career. Her nurturing spirit extended deeply into her faith community at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, where she was an active and cherished member, dedicating her time and heart to her parish family.
While she gave so much to her community, Brenda’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Larry, with whom she shared a life built on mutual love and support. Brenda could often be found by the water, casting a line with Larry. This was her quiet escape, a pastime she truly loved.
To her boys, Lee and Tim, she was more than just a mother—she was their rock, their constant supporter, and their biggest cheerleader. Brenda loved spending weekends with her boys, camping, fishing and sharing the outdoors.
Above all, her mother was her anchor and her best friend. A relationship she cherished every single day. As the oldest of five girls, Brenda took her role as big sister seriously, sharing an unbreakable bond with her sisters. Brenda’s heart was filled with love for her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Creating memories they will cherish forever.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her beloved husband, Larry Routh; Children, Lee (Missy) Mixon, Tim (Cheri) Mixon; Step children, Sarah (Tommy) Hays, Shelia (Bill) Bailey, Richard (Rebecca) Routh; Mother Janet L. Wolter; Sisters, Patty Mitchell (Andy Wood), Cindy Vaughn, Debbie Faulk, Barbara (John) Parisi; Four grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; several loving nieces and nephews.
