Audrey L Grover's Obituary
Our precious little mom Audrey Grover passed from this world April 20, 2017 into the loving arms of Jesus. It was a very hard path for her loving family to go down but our precious Abba walked with us the whole way never leaving our side.Audrey left behind three daughters: Candice Inks, Cheryl Miller and Melody Shewman. Six Grandchildren: Rick Miller, Jr., Kevin Inks, Audra Burkett, Kerry Inks, Heather Davis and Jerry Woods. She also left behind eleven great grandchildren. She was born in London England. She became a war bride in 1945 and crossed the pond with many other war brides. She was married to Sheldon Grover for 48 years. After he passed she never remarried.Audrey devoted her whole life to raising her three daughters and being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She provided a warm and loving home and was the perfect example of how a Godly women should be. Never once did we hear a fowl word come out of her mouth nor did she discipline in anger. She loved knitting, sewing, gardening, baking, camping in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee, teaching Bible school and working at the thrift shop at All Saints Episcopal Church. In her garden were many beautiful plants and flowers but tea roses were a special favorite of hers. She could knit and sew beautifully making patterns of her own. She had a special passion for all God's creatures and reading God's word. The things that will be missed the most are her hugs, kisses and giggles. She loved to bring laughter and joy to everyone. The scripture that paints a perfect picture of her is:She is clothes with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive and fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
