My memories of my uncle are centred on Sunday’s at my mum’s house, surrounded by a long line of cousins, playing various games while waiting for Aubyn to cut our hair. This regular event was accompanied by food being prepared in the background.
Throughout the course of those Sundays music and laughter would be heard, with Aubyn’s deep laugh at the heart of the occasion.
Aubyn was a generous man, who was quick to tease, play on your words and made you feel noticed. In addition to his humour Aubyn would discuss topical issues and make me reflect, encouraging me by giving you the confidence to try.

The Headley family have so many memories and they all put a smile on our faces. Aubyn was always full of life always telling a joke or a story. His many years in the car manufacturing industry proved it's wait in gold as you could find him under the bonnet (hood) of a car tinkering away until the problem was resolved. Aubyn also loved his cars we feel it was his statement piece. Aubyn was a brilliant cook and a master sous maker we're salavating just thinking about it, but most of all Aubyn was someone his sister Sheila could count on no matter what. Aubyn was a loyal faithful, loving supportive brother & friend and his sister would always say She can ask Aubyn anything and he would do it. Aubyn was a unique uncle like no other and we are so proud and honoured to have been blessed with an uncle like Aubyn. We are mourning his loss as it is deeply felt and a void that will never be filled but, we also celebrate his blessed life that we had the privilege to share and be part of. Our memories will bring us comfort and a big smile to our faces. Aubyn you had and lived a full life and you made sure you enjoyed it. We know you are dancing with Angels and telling one of your many stories. We say a very big thank you for all you did for us and your sister selflessly.
