Richard Galor

Richard F. Galor age 82 of Deltona passed away November 6 2009 at Halifax Health Center. Richard was born in Waterbury ,Connecticut son of Frank and Doris Holland Galor. He was a graduate of Capital Radio -Engineering Institute in Washington,DC. He enlisted in the United States Navy during WWII and served as a sonar technician. He continued his career in electronics as a tech writer. Richard moved to this area eighteen years ago from Virginia . He was a devoted Shriner and asked that donations in lieu of flowers be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children Chicago ,Illinois C/O International Headquarters 2900 Rocky Point Drive Tampa, Fl 33607. Richard loved to watch TV and enjoyed old episodes of Mash and the History channel. He is survived by two half-sisters Jean and Wendy of Connecticut, dear friends C.A. "Woody" Woodcock and Janice Fritz and a host of friends .He was preceded by his parents and a son Mark. All who knew Richard as part of the Perkins Restaurant family in Orange City are encouraged to attend a memorial service in his honor at 3 pm Wednesday November 11 2009 at Baldauff Funeral Home 1233 Saxon Blvd. Orange City.
