Biography Walter C. Sage Walter C. Sage, 86 of Deltona, Florida, formerly of Hudson, N.H. passed away at his home with his family at his side, after a lengthy illness. He was born on June 19,1923 in Bedford, N.H, the son of the late Anthony Saj and Frances Bachta. He was raised and educated in Bedford. Walter served in the Navy during WWII in the Submarine Service as a Sonar operator. During his service, he received a WWII Victory Medal, an American Theatre Medal, and an Asiatic Pacific Theatre Medal, 1 Star. Following his service, he was the owner and operator of Sage’s TV Service in Nashua, N.H. and later employed at Sanders Inc. He resided in Hudson N.H. until 1982 when he moved to Deltona, Florida. He was a member of the VFW and the DAV, Chapter 92. Walter was married 59 years to Carmelle Sage. He is survived by his wife, Carmelle, his sister, Amelia Sulin, his son, Walter Sage Jr., His 4 daughters and son-in-laws, Wanda and Lee Sanford, Waneta and Gerard Gagne, Wynne and Majid Aroom, Eva Marie Sage and Richard Hatch, and 10 grandchildren, Justin Sanford, Kevin, Kameron, and Kendal Aroom, Jeaneva and Hali Gagne, Curtis, Alexis, Savannah, and Douglas Hatch and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A visitation will be at Baldauff Funeral Home on Sunday August 30, 2009 From 2-4 & 6-8 and the Funeral Mass will be held at the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church on Monday August 31, 2009 at 10 AM . Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Walter will be interred at Saint Francis Cemetery in Nashua N.H. with Farwell Funeral Home handling Nashua arrangements.
