Barbara Griffin

Barbara Griffin age 84 passed away Saturday April 16, 2022. Barbara was born November 22, 1937 in Jersey City, New Jersey the daughter of the late William and Martha (Freese) Hoff. She attended and graduated from Snyder High School in Jersey City and some years after, she obtained her degree as a radiology technician. After working for years as an xray tech, she shifted her career to work for the United States Post Office and subsequently retired from the Post Office. Her husband Joseph Griffin was a technical writer who worked for Pan Am Airlines which allowed Barbara to travel extensively. She was fortunate enough to visit many parts of the world with her family. She was an avid reader for most of her life and particularly enjoyed exploring history both via travel and through books/lectures. She had a particular penchant for British history and humor. Barbara is survived by her children; Barbara E. Yadav, Suzanne M Griffin, Joseph W. Griffin. Grandchildren; Rachel Griffin, Natalie Griffin, Holly Griffin, Alex Griffin, Olivia Yadav. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Martha Hoff; her husband; Joseph J. Griffin and a brother William Hoff. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics, painting, travel, reading and history.
